Time in New Mexico

We had a great time in New Mexico. We started off in Albuquerque, headed to Santa Fe, and then were off to Las Vegas. So overall, we had a great time. Here are a few pictures we caught while we were there.

Jordan with some of her distant cousins. The Gallegos kids with George and Cheryl (Patrick's uncle and aunt.)
Nana and Pape at uncle Jake and Aunt Jeanie's house.
Sydney and I sleeping on the way to Santa Fe or Las Vegas (I can't remember which on it was.)
And this is a fountain we found when we first got to Albuquerque. The kids had a blast in it. It was all level to the ground so they could run and the water would come up in different patterns. The kids would run through it and you never knew which one would hit you. It was a lot of fun to watch.
The water was high on this one.
Not much water in this one!
Even Sydney wanted to get in on the fun. Lucky for her the water was down at this point.
Another running shot and the water is just starting to get going.
So, as you can see, we are having a great vacation. We will have plenty more to post soon.

On the Airplane!

Our flight went well and everyone had a good time. All together the flight was was about 4 1/2 hours with a 2 hour delay in Houston. Overall, the kids did really well. So here are a few pictures I caught on the plane.

Here is Sydney. She was enjoying her very own seat. We were lucky to have an empty seat next to us! And again trying to climb up the chair.
And here is Jordan. She fell fast asleep on our way to Albuquerque.
And Patrick, yes he fell asleep also.
And here is a picture of Isaac and Sydney on our layover! I caught a picture of Isaac asleep but for some reason it wouldn't upload. Bummer!
So, we made it to new Mexico safe and sound. I will post some pictures of the New Mexico portion of our trip soon. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.

Camping Part 2

After Patrick and Jordan got back from camping this afternoon we decided that we should continue on with the outdoor fun. So, in Gallegos fashion, we unloaded the camping stuff right into the backyard and continued on with the camping. So, tonight Patrick, Jordan and Isaac are sleeping in the backyard. Sydney and I are roughing it in the house tonight. So here are a few pictures I caught this evening as we were setting up camp.
Jordan and Isaac around the campfire. Jordan, Isaac and Sydney playing in the tent.

Isaac helping set up the tent.
And I think this is my favorite, Patrick with Jordan and Isaac. They were so excited when he got the tent put up.
So, now I am headed off to the backyard to read a few books and see if they need anything before bedtime. Let's hope everyone sleeps well. I'll keep you posted on how the evening goes.

Camping with Dad

This weekend Patrick and Jordan went camping and they had a great time. Our church had a father/child camping trip planned and they just couldn't resist. They got to canoe the Mohican river and didn't even tip the canoe. They just got home around lunch time today and you could tell they had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures Patrick caught of the weekend.
The two of them in front of their tent on Saturday morning. Dinner time on Saturday night.

Jordan trying to get the fire started on Saturday night. She really wanted to make smores! It took a little while to get the fire started and I think that was the hardest part of the weekend for her.
Over all they had a great trip. Isaac, Sydney and I hung out around the house and had a pretty good weekend. We played in the Slip-N-Slide, ate donuts and played on the swing set. So, overall we all had a really good weekend.

A Day at the Park

This morning I had a dentist appointment and afterwards the kids and I went to the park. The park is called Preston's Hope and it is a park that is made for ALL kids, even those with disabilities. There are about 10 buildings with doors wide enough for wheel chairs and ramps to the upper levels. The story behind the park is a very touching one and we have really enjoyed the many times we have played there. So here are a few pictures from this morning.
Jordan and Isaac fighting over the motorcycle. I liked this picture because it really showed how big the play houses are for the kids. Sydney catching a ride on a 4-wheeler.
Sydney making a mess with the sand.
Sydney swinging.
Jordan and Isaac on the teeter-totter.Isaac enjoying his turn on the motorcycle.
Jordan riding the zebra.
Isaac and Jordan on the T-Rex.
Jordan and Isaac looking through the window of one of the buildings.
And last but not least, Jordan and Isaac in the fire truck.
So, here's to a great morning at the park, and even getting to ride in a firetruck while we were there. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.

Last day of School!!!

Well, yesterday (June 11th) was Jordan's last day of school and we had to go out and celebrate. So we headed off to a local ice cream shop for a sweet treat. The kids were very excited needless to say. Our family is always looking for a reason to celebrate with ice cream.
So, here is Isaac enjoying some Superman Ice Cream. (He has pretty much out grown his milk allergy and we are very thankful for that. We are still a little cautious about the amount that he gets but if he doesn't get to much he feels fine.) As you can see he really enjoyed the treat. And here is Jordan enjoying her Chocolate Mint Ice Cream with her friend Sammy. Who also was celebrating the end of school. Sammy and Jordan were in the same class and Jordan was very excited to see her at the ice cream shop. (I think she was afraid she would never get to see any of her friends from her class again.) And we even got a few cute pictures of Sydney yesterday also. I put her hair up into two pony-tails and she looked O' so cute. (I understand, I am a little bias.) So, here is a picture I caught of her and Patrick when he got home from work.
And a shot of Sydney and I. I was sporting the glasses-look all day yesterday.

And finally a solo picture of Sydney with her hair fixed. She likes to move around a lot so it is harder to catch a non-blurred picture of this one.
We continue to do well and look forward to an eventful summer break.

Busy Saturday

We have had a great Saturday. We had the opportunity to eat dinner with good friends last night, Jordan and I went to a neighbor's dance recital, I did a little shopping, the kids played with the neighbors, and Jordan had swimming lessons. Luckily I carried the camera around for some of the day so we can share it with all of you.
Here is a picture of Sydney in her pj's.
Isaac caring a worm around. (Poor worm, he did not survive the evening.)
Isaac riding a scooter and again showing off his worm (while it is still alive.)
Jordan playing on a skateboard.

And here is Sydney with her hair fixed. I realized yesterday that I hadn't put a bow in Sydney's hair yet. (At Christmas she had a hat that had a bow on it and I think we had her 3 month pictures taken with a bow on but other than that no bows for Sydney.) So, I brushed her hair into a little pony-tail and put a little yellow bow in it. Jordan had huge bows that were the size of her head in her hair at the age of 1 month. And every morning I would put a bow in her hair that matched her outfit. So, I caught a few pictures of Sydney with a cute little bow in her hair yesterday that just happened to match her outfit.
And another pose. (Good shot of her SHARP teeth.)
Here is Jordan before swimming lessons. She is doing well and seems to really enjoy the level 1 swim class. Yes, I think we have been in level 1 for 5 sessions or so, but who is keeping track. (The only requirement to get out of level 1 is to put your face under the water and not freak-out.) So needless to say, we are still freaking-out and still in Level 1.
Here is to a busy Saturday and an even bigger Sunday!
Love Ya and God Bless, Tara G.
