Isaac - 2 1/2 years old
Our family was blessed with Miss Sydney in April. We are very thankful for her healthy and smooth delivery. She is a happy and healthy little girl and for that we are grateful.
And Isaac, well he is quite the little boy and getting into the "3" stage of life. That means that 2009 will definitely be a good one for him. (And for us also!)
I don't post many pictures of myself and I figured that with the year ending I would add this picture of the kids and I. Patrick took it during Christmas and I thought it was pretty good considering we were all looking at the camera. (I am not sure what the WHITE spot in the picture is?)
And Jordan, Well 2008 has been a good year for her. She started school and is absolutely loving it. The Christmas break has been hard for her. I think she would much rather be in school. She is learning so quickly and loving every minute of it. 2009 will be very exciting for her and I am excited to continue to watch her grow.
And this evening Jordan and Isaac are upstairs playing in Isaac's room with their new toys. We gave in tonight and let them unwrap ONE present. Jordan got some princess figures and Isaac some Disney figures. They are very excited and are happily playing so I snuck up and caught this picture of Isaac.
And this is a picture of Jordan holding up her favorite.
And I caught this picture of both of them with all of their figures lined up and happily playing!
I figure it will be only a matter of time before Isaac is stealing Jordan's and she is screaming and all upset chasing him around the house. I guess that is part of having siblings. 
And Sydney, well she is "All tongue." (This is where I got the title for this Post) This is her new thing. I am not sure if she is teething and just chewing on it or not. However it looks like she is sticking out her tongue at everyone! It is pretty cute.
We are all doing well and getting ready for Christmas. Tis the Season and we are really enjoying it. In our neighborhood there is a house that is amazingly decorated. The kids love to drive by it in the evening. So, I decided to take this short video to share with all of you. We have been trying to take pictures of it but with the flash they don't turn out very good. So, the Gallegos family wanted to share the "Clark Griswold" house of their neighborhood with you. (I just want to make this clear that this is NOT our house. We do have lights up but not like this! HAHA) We hope you all enjoy. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.
And this is a picture of Isaac after he had gone down the hills. He decided that the cold wind was a little too much and he wanted to hang out with Sydney and I in the suburban.
And I couldn't help but catch a picture of Sydney in her winter hat also. She had fun just watching from the warm car.
You know I had to catch one of all three of them out in the snow!
And of course on the sled!!!!
It was a fun afternoon and we are looking forward to more time sledding. Jordan decided that she could go by herself, so she of course did. She did a great job and even managed to carry the sled back up the hill all by herself. She is ready to go again.
This is a picture I caught of Isaac this morning as he was just beginning to decorate his SIDE if the house. You can see how excited he is.

A close up of the House. I think we may have a couple of engineers on our hands! (HAHA) We will have to see how long it lasts in our house. I am betting only about a day or so before it is totally devoured.

This afternoon after we ate lunch the kids made turkeys out of rice krispies treats, toothpicks and chewy candy pieces. It is hard to tell that this is a turkey but in real life it kind of resembled one. They had a lot of fun doing it. Anything to do with candy is fun for our kids!
I had to monitor them as they ate the turkeys so that no one accidentally ate a toothpick. I obviously didn't think of this until after we started. However, it all worked out and there were on casualties.
This next picture was taken of Isaac while we were eating lunch today. He is enjoying some cranberry sauce. (Not my favorite!) I should have taken a picture of him after the cranberry sauce. He was much dirtier.
Jordan made an indian necklace and headband at school on tuesday and in the following picture she is modeling them for us. She was very excited and even wore them this afternoon while we were making our turkeys.

Even Sydney is enjoying the love. I caught this picture of her and Gene this morning after she woke up. I think Gene enjoyed taking this picture as much as she did!
And you know I had to try to get a shot of Gene with all three kids climbing on him. This morning was my chance and I thought the following was a good one. The kids were very excited about this picture. (Especially Jordan!)

Gene and Julia got Jordan and Sydney matching Christmas outfits and Sydney is wearing the hat/bow that they got for her. She looks so cute! I will have pictures of the two of them in their matching cloths soon.
Jordan has been bouncing off the walls every since we got back from the airport yesterday. She woke up extra early this morning because she was so excited to play with her Pape. (I think Gene woke up extra early to play with the kids also but we will keep that just between us.)
And here is a picture I caught of Isaac yesterday. He still has a little residual red-Popsicle left on his cheeks from earlier in the day. Even in the winter our family is up for Popsicles. (At least the kids and I are!) 
Sydney is getting better and better every day with sitting up. She is getting so big. She is now 7 months and I can hardly believe it.
The first thing Jordan and Isaac wanted this morning when they woke up was birthday cake. I can't say that I blame them but I did have to enforce the "No-Cake-Until-After-Lunch" rule today. 
As you can see, Jordan got her piece after eating her lunch. She ate it all just in time to wash up and catch the bus. Isaac was in the background very upset because he didn't finish his food yet. 
But as you can see; he finally gave in, ate his lunch and was able to enjoy a delicious piece of birthday cake also. He actually thought that since Jordan was at school he would get another piece; however, when he was informed that he would have to eat another plate of lunch, he wasn't very interested.
I caught a picture of Patrick and the kids right before we lit the candles. Look how close Sydney is to the candles. Quickly after I took this picture she grabbed them and took them off the cake! At least they weren't lit yet.
Here is a quick picture I caught of Isaac while he was eating his cake. Patrick gave him a HUGE piece and I am pretty sure that half of it ended up on the floor. O'well, that is what birthdays are for.
This is a picture of Jordan I got while she was enjoying her cake also. She liked it so much she couldn't even look up when I was taking the picture. She definitely helped make a very tasty cake!
And this is a picture I took of Sydney while the rest of us were eating cake. She had just been BUSTED!!! After Patrick had blown out the candles he put the candles on a small plate next to the cake. Sydney quickly grabbed a candle and was eating all of the icing off the end of it! I can't believe it, she got a hold of the candles TWICE!!! Man, are we good parents or what! HA HA. She wasn't very excited when the candle got taken away from her but she definitely new she was busted.
Over-all, Patrick had a great day and we had a great time celebrating his birthday with him. The big thirty-two! Happy birthday Patrick and thanks for everything you do for our family. Love Ya and God Bless, Tara G.
Jordan was very excited to get to use her very own tea set with real food.
And Isaac had fun too. He loved to marshmallows and oranges but wasn't as excited about to Frito's. (Go figure!)
