Fun with Nana and Pape!!!

Well, as you can see the kids are have a blast with their Nana and Pape. I can't really blame them, they are pretty fun to hang out with. The following is a picture I caught of Isaac and Julia. Isaac loves to sit with his Nana in her chair. Even Sydney is enjoying the love. I caught this picture of her and Gene this morning after she woke up. I think Gene enjoyed taking this picture as much as she did!
And you know I had to try to get a shot of Gene with all three kids climbing on him. This morning was my chance and I thought the following was a good one. The kids were very excited about this picture. (Especially Jordan!) We will continue to post about our Thanksgiving week and we hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving also. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.

The holidays have begun!

Well, Gene and Julia arrived yesterday and the Gallegos Family's Thanksgiving holiday has begun! The kids are so excited to have company (especially GRANDPARENTS!) Patrick and I are excited too. It is always great to have family around. Gene and Julia got Jordan and Sydney matching Christmas outfits and Sydney is wearing the hat/bow that they got for her. She looks so cute! I will have pictures of the two of them in their matching cloths soon.
Jordan has been bouncing off the walls every since we got back from the airport yesterday. She woke up extra early this morning because she was so excited to play with her Pape. (I think Gene woke up extra early to play with the kids also but we will keep that just between us.)
And here is a picture I caught of Isaac yesterday. He still has a little residual red-Popsicle left on his cheeks from earlier in the day. Even in the winter our family is up for Popsicles. (At least the kids and I are!)
Sydney is getting better and better every day with sitting up. She is getting so big. She is now 7 months and I can hardly believe it.
We will have more fun Grandparent things to post throughout the week so I will talk to everyone then. Love Ya and God Bless, Tara G.

Birthday Cake Part 2

Sydney was so happy this morning when she woke up. I think she thought she was going to get a piece of cake but O was she wrong. (Or at least the icing off another candle! HA HA) I thought this was a cute picture of her. The first thing Jordan and Isaac wanted this morning when they woke up was birthday cake. I can't say that I blame them but I did have to enforce the "No-Cake-Until-After-Lunch" rule today. As you can see, Jordan got her piece after eating her lunch. She ate it all just in time to wash up and catch the bus. Isaac was in the background very upset because he didn't finish his food yet.

But as you can see; he finally gave in, ate his lunch and was able to enjoy a delicious piece of birthday cake also. He actually thought that since Jordan was at school he would get another piece; however, when he was informed that he would have to eat another plate of lunch, he wasn't very interested.
Things here at the Galleogs home are going well and we will continue to keep everyone posted. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.

Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

Today is Patrick's birthday and we celebrated with cake, candles and singing. I hope he had a great day. Jordan and I made him a cake and like usual it was larger than we needed. However, we will be able to have cake now for a few days. (I guess that is not a totally bad thing!) Look how happy he looks in this picture. I caught a picture of Patrick and the kids right before we lit the candles. Look how close Sydney is to the candles. Quickly after I took this picture she grabbed them and took them off the cake! At least they weren't lit yet.
Here is a quick picture I caught of Isaac while he was eating his cake. Patrick gave him a HUGE piece and I am pretty sure that half of it ended up on the floor. O'well, that is what birthdays are for.
This is a picture of Jordan I got while she was enjoying her cake also. She liked it so much she couldn't even look up when I was taking the picture. She definitely helped make a very tasty cake!
And this is a picture I took of Sydney while the rest of us were eating cake. She had just been BUSTED!!! After Patrick had blown out the candles he put the candles on a small plate next to the cake. Sydney quickly grabbed a candle and was eating all of the icing off the end of it! I can't believe it, she got a hold of the candles TWICE!!! Man, are we good parents or what! HA HA. She wasn't very excited when the candle got taken away from her but she definitely new she was busted.
Over-all, Patrick had a great day and we had a great time celebrating his birthday with him. The big thirty-two! Happy birthday Patrick and thanks for everything you do for our family. Love Ya and God Bless, Tara G.

Tea Party!

Well, this afternoon for our snack we decided to have a Tea Party! Just remember it is "Gone Gallegos Style." The kids had a pretty good time. We had apple juice for the tea and Frito's, Orange slices and Marshmallows for our plates. Their favorite part was pouring the tea of course. Surprisingly enough we didn't spill even one glass of tea! For our family that is a BIG accomplishment.Jordan was very excited to get to use her very own tea set with real food.

And Isaac had fun too. He loved to marshmallows and oranges but wasn't as excited about to Frito's. (Go figure!)

And even Sydney got in on the action. We gave her a cup to play with and that satisfied her. She was excited to just be able to chew on a plastic tea cup. Talk to everyone soon. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.

We are still doing well!

Things here in Ohio are going well. Isaac and Sydney are a little under the weather but other than that things are good. Isaac and Sydney are coughing and Isaac has a slight fever. I guess that is what we can expect during the start of cold and flu season. This is a picture I caught of Isaac last week. I thought it was a cute one! And here is a picture of Sydney sitting up (kind of!!!) She still leans forward a little, but she is getting the hang of it.
I caught this picture of her tonight. Even with a cold she can crack a smile for the camera.
Monday was leaf-pick-up day so the kids and I got all the leaves raked up. Needless to say, it was too much for Jordan and Isaac to just see a huge pile of leaves at the end of our yard. They had a great time jumping and playing in them and the neighbor kids saw all the excitement and decided to come over for some fun also.
I caught this picture of Jordan and thought it was also a good one. She was laughing so hard I am suprised it wasn't a blurry picture. We had a lot of fun in the leaves on this day. Other than this we haven't been up to too much. With the election over the phone doesn't ring 15 times a day for politics so that is a good thing. I hope everyone else is doing well and I will post more soon. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.

All Souls Day

Today is All Souls Day, November 2nd. All Souls day is a feast day celebrated by the Catholic Church. Today at church the priest explained a little about this day. He talked about how this was a good opportunity to think of those whom we have lost in the past year. In reading about this feast day I realized that there was a lot I didn't really know about it. I came to the conclusion that this is the Catholic Church's version of Memorial Day. In remembering those we have lost, this day is also a good opportunity for us to remember where we are going. This day gives us the chance to remember why we are here on earth and what our final destination is. And even more importantly, are we making sure that those around us, whom we love, are believing the same things we are. Where is there heart! (And who is in it!) I know that there is a lot more that goes along with this feast day but for me that is the gist of it. So, for our family on this All Souls Day we are going to remember Sid. As all of you may know, Patrick lost his brother in a motorcycle accident 6 months ago. It is hard to believe that 6 months have already gone by. So, on this day I will remember the trip Sid took up here to Ohio last February. We had the chance to go sledding, touring downtown Cleveland in negative temperatures and paying a visit to Amish country. It was a fun trip for all of us.
So on this All Souls Day I hope that everyone can remember anyone they may have lost. Love ya and God Bless, Tara G.
